About the Recipe
A creamy, rich hot cocoa drink to warm you up on chilly days!
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
1/3 cup boiling water
4 cups California Sunshine milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Optional additions:
Top with mini marshmallows, whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon!
Preparation
Step 1
Mix sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a saucepan. Add boiling water and stir until smooth. Cook mixture on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 2
Stir milk into chocolate mixture and heat to desired temperature.
Step 3
Stir in vanilla.
Step 4
Pour into mugs and add toppings (see optional additions).
Note:
For added flavor, decor and fun, place a cinnamon stick or candy cane into the whip cream to stir hot cocoa.
